Small and medium sized businesses are the backbone of our economy, and they are a key part of what makes our communities unique and special.
I know from close working over many years with businesses in my constituency of Hampstead and Kilburn that the Labour values of fairness, working together and community are what drive so many SMEs. SME4Labour has done a brilliant job of reinforcing that deep link between our party and SMEs and keeping us connected with the issues that businesses are facing.
The past year has been incredibly challenging for SMEs, and many now face an existential threat as we emerge from the pandemic. It is an integral part of Labour’s mission to make the case for the best possible support for these businesses, which are also integral to the future of the Labour Party.
The fantastic team at SME4Labour deserve our full support in their mission to strengthen Labour’s partnership with small and medium-sized businesses in this country and help us build a society where they are properly valued and supported.
