It was a pleasure to host a full house of SME owners and Labour Supporters at Last Night’s SME4LABOUR Parliamentary reception.
We were very pleased to be join by Speakers Bill Esterson MP, Shadow Minister for Small Business, Feryal Clarke MP, Labour MP for Enfield North, Matt Western Mp, Shadow Minister for Further Education and Universities, Fleur Anderson MP, Shadow Paymaster General.
This meeting was convened as an opportunity to thank SME4LABOUR’s supporters over the years, and provide a networking outlet for MPs and Peers wishing to speak with SME owners.
Speakers and attendees discussed how Labour Policies can support SMEs across the UK. For instance how innovation in the health service would lead towards healthier, better workers, how improvements in skills and training in the education service could benefit Small and Medium Enterprises. Speakers also kindly thanked SME4LABOUR for bringing Small and Medium Enterprises into the Labour fold and for amplifying the voice of SMEs in the Labour Party.
