Throughout the terrible pandemic we are living through our small business and self-employed sector have suffered badly, with many being excluded from any financial support from the government. Yet the millions involved in this sector have proved themselves invaluable to our economy. They have – when allowed – provided services to keep the country going, have worked hard to adapt their businesses to enable them to survive and have kept as many of their staff as possible in gainful employment. SME4Labour is a vital pillar of support for this sector and I am delighted that it is continuing its hard work. By bringing together the wider party, with the trade unions and with many small businesses SME4Labour is a vital voice for people who will be at the forefront of rebuilding our economy.
