My name is Martyn Davis; I have been a member of the Labour Party since I was fifteen years old, I
joined the Cheam West Branch of the Sutton and Cheam Labour Party, I was Youth Officer there. I
went on to be a member of the Labour Club at University. I have lived in Gosport, since 1997and
been active in the CLP ever since. I have held posts of CLP Chair and Secretary, Political Education
Officer and CLP Agent. I was a councillor for the Bridgemary North Ward, whilst on the council I
chaired the Regulatory Board and was a member of the Licensing Committee and the Scrutiny Board.
I have bee involved in education since 1984 and have held posts on Vice Principal and Interim
Principal. However, since 2004 I have run my own consultancy assisting in organisational restructure,
improvement and strategicaudit and design. I have also been involved in representation pupils on
Educational Tribunals, mostly on a pro bono basis. I also assist company start-ups. My company also
does working East Africa and Asia assisting charities set up educational provision.
