As the City Hall Labour lead on Economy, it’s been a privilege to hear from the incredible range of small and medium enterprises across London, which give so many parts of London a strongly local feel, so that we can enjoy being part of vibrant localities as well as big city dwellers. Hearing their concerns as they have weathered the pandemic and providing support and constructive recommendations to the Mayor on how to assist has been the role of the Economy Committee- along with lobbying the Chancellor for improved support.
SME4Labour is a great organisation- it brings together politicians and activists who understand what SMEs have to offer, with SMEs themselves. As we try to recover from the pandemic we need to work more closely than ever before.
