I know from the constituency I represent in South Manchester what an important role SMEs play in making our communities what they are. I also understand from the contact I have with local traders and business owners some of the unique challenges that entrepreneurs and business owners face. Many have been let down by the lack of support the government have given certain sectors and types of businesses over the course of the pandemic.
As the Labour Party builds towards the next General Election, it is more important than ever that we listen to those who run small and medium sized enterprises as they form an important part of the fabric that make up of our country and provide 15.7m jobs. That’s why I believe the work of SME4Labour is so important as we rebuild after the pandemic and look to win the confidence of the country.
