Small and medium-sized enterprises are the lifeblood of our economy: creating employment and training opportunities; supporting the regeneration of our High Streets and urban centres, and helping to build a stronger economy for local communities.
Overwhelmingly, SMEs are the businesses that play by the rules and operate in an ethical way – a practical demonstration of responsible capitalism in action.
SMEs and entrepreneurs also have a vital role to play in our Party and wider labour movement. Whether that is through serving as elected representatives, volunteering their time as party officers or providing that crucial link between industry and Labour.
History shows us that Labour will only convince the wider public that we are to be trusted with the keys to Number 10 by demonstrating our willingness to forge a genuine partnership between business, workers and trade unions. SME4Labour have a vital role to play in delivering that partnership.
