With the economy in many of our towns, cities and rural communities being driven by SMEs, the need for the Labour Party to have relevance to these businesses could not be more important.
That’s why SME Labour exists and why its role is more vital than ever. Developing a policy platform that seeks to make sense of the practical steps necessary for business to flourish has to be at its heart.
Drawing on the experience of Labour in local government, where much of the innovation in economic development lies, is what attracts me, a longstanding Council Leader, to the ongoing work of SME4Labour.
