SMEs are the backbone of our economy and of communities up and down the UK. I am delighted to endorse SME4Labour as the voice of small SMEs in our party- connecting business people and Labour members and championing pragmatic and progressive policies for businesses.
Over the last twelve months, I’ve been lucky to meet with SMEs up and down the country. This has cemented what I already knew- that SMEs fuel innovation; help people learn and facilitate our cultural and social lives.
However, these have been very difficult times for many SMEs. If we want to see these businesses thriving again, we need to support them. Labour is committed to a Britain, post-pandemic, that is both more equal and more prosperous. We need to achieve this hand in hand with trade unions, businesses and communities. That’s one of many reasons why we must amplify the work that SME4Labour does, listening to the concerns of business owners and working to meet them.
