On Wednesday, the 19th of April, we were joined by a fantastic panel of speakers, including Shadow Secretary of State for Business and Industry Bill Esterson MP, for an insightful discussion into the future of the manufacturing industry.
Joined by two of Labour’s Prospective Parliamentary Candidates, Chris McDonald – standing in Stockton North, and Ieuan Môn Williams – standing in Ynys Môn, and Community Union’s Anna Mowbray, the discussion was chaired by Director of Downtown in Business, Frank McKenna.
We explored what Labour’s policy will be in government to protect the future of British manufacturing and industry and what desperately needs to be done in order to support workers in the wake of years of Tory decline and under-investment.
We look forward to holding more discussions surrounding this in the near future. Be sure to watch out on our social media and on Eventbrite to get your ticket and come along!
